To assist a young person leaving foster care in securing housing, getting household furnishings, taking care of their medical needs, securing work uniforms or tools, etc., you can make a donation to Beyond Emancipation (the former ILSP Auxiliary), a non-profit auxiliary which offers additional assistance to emancipating foster youth. The ILSP Teen Health Center has a wish list.  The items listed below can be purchased for the Teen Health Center or a check for their cost can be given to Beyond Emancipation.  In any case, you will receive a tax deductible receipt for your gift.  This is not a complete list.  Please contact the Teen Health Center or BE for more information.

PORTABLE BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE:  This would allow us to be able to triage clients as they are waiting to see the physician instead of waiting until they get into the exam room.  This would also allow us to be more efficient in our use of time.  The machine would be all-inclusive, allowing us to take blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.

PULMO-AID:  To allow us to immediately treat any asthma patient in distress.

PEAK FLOW METER:  To allow us to monitor any breathing difficulties.

AUDIOMETER:  To evaluate any hearing problems or conditions.
