H.O.P.E.

What We Offer

Project H.O.P.E. works to connect foster youth to employment and educational enhancement programs in Alameda County.

By engaging in employment training services and being exposed to a variety of community resources, youth participants will be better prepared for the labor market and other adulthood challenges.

Youth participants will have access to these services:

  • Career and educational planning
  • Interview, resume writing, and other job search skill workshops
  • Labor Market Information research
  • Job fairs and recruiting events by employers
  • Summer employment opportunities
  • Paid or unpaid internships
  • Leadership development and civic engagement opportunities
  • Skills and educational attainment programs
  • Other employment related services and more

Career Possibilities

The possibilities are endless.

Like any other youth, foster youth can become doctors, lawyers, writers, engineers, politicians, community leaders, scientists, filmmakers, or any other professions of interest.

To learn more about these careers and professions, you can visit the Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistic web site, or find out more about these possibilities by participating in Project HOPE.
